Introduction
The banks existence came about through the need for pooling our resources, from all sources, namely raids and members donations. Now that Blizzard has seen fit to grow on this idea we have access to a Bank vault in which members can deposit, withdrawal, view and then request.
Omnias guild bank has three main purposes:
- Gathering resources to be able to buy materials for raid progression.
- Store items gathered in raids and disenchant/sell/distribute them.
- Common area for all members of Omnia to share items, loot, quest items, gear, patches............... need I go on?.
The bank is designed to be used by the members, but we must remember that there is give and take in any situation. For Omnia to do well we may need some serious gold, and the bank has to make it. (Uh-oh I've never been good with Money! ) Basically treat your bank with fairness and honesty please..:)
General banking information
The guild bank can be found pretty near to your usual bank. In there you will stumble across three tabs
1.Raid Stuff – Items collected to be used for future raiding progress. (fishfeast, flasks, e.g.)
2.Request tab - Anyone in the guild can request items from this tab. The guidelines for requesting are written below.
3.Public Vault - Anyone can deposit and withdrawal at any time. Please respect this privalege.
Guidelines for Requesting Items from the Bank
- All requests need to be done in the banking thread on the forum so everyone can see what has been asked for.
- Anything that can be seen in the bank tabs ( Request tab) in game can be requested.
- An item, pattern that drops within raids and that no one wants on that raid there and then will be sent immediately on closing of the raid to the Bank. This can then be requested.
- A 48 hr grace period will be given to raider status Omnians. At the end of this grace period any member of Omnia can request this item. It will run a first come first served basis other than the 48hr grace time.
How to Request something from the bank
Follow the very simple steps: 1.Write a post onto the 'Request here ' forum thread in the banking section of the Omnia website. 2.State : Name of character who wants the item What item(s) you want What you intend to use them for (could be a gem for example).
E.g. Requesting for Buckie:5x Arcane dustfor Enchant boots – fortitudeon Silent Slippers of Meditation
The request should be handled by Ceej, if this fails nudge her or send a pm. If this then fails have patience. She will sort it, if she totally and utterly fails in the biggest way then please contact another Council Member.
Sending something to the bank
- All materials to be sent to the bank can be mailed to OMNIABANK. I'd hope you all know how to use the mailbox ok, so I won't explain that..:P.
- The depositing of items into the Public vault is entirely up to yourselves as members. Common courtisy towards other fellow Omnians would be good. Some items are fairly useful and annoying to get hold of so placing them in this tab would be good. If you could refrain from dumping a million and one stacks of woolen cloth, or bunches of roses that would also be good. If not some wee omniabank gnome will come by and remove these and earn itself a bit of copper on the side!
Guidelines
Obviously these are subject to change at any time if seen fit by senior officers within Omnia. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to improve this system then please let us know, either with a forum post, or a pm to Ceej.
General guidelines and 'donations'
- For main characters most items requested are free, but donations are always welcome.
- Some items are not for free, but will be handed out against a reasonable payment. The items that are charged are the enchanting materials. This is to avoid member stocking up too much on these things. The price is roughly 50% of what they sell for on the ah.
- For the craftable items that require BOE parts that are in the bank, and also BOP, or crafter BOP items, you need to have the materials to craft it before requesting the things the bank has, or have a crafter with the necessary items
- NB *Anything you receive from the bank is to be used by whoever it was requested for. Reselling items that have been given/bought from the bank is a serious offense and if found out the Council Members will be informed to see what actions will be taken.
Raiding guidelines
The main way the bank gets money is through the sale of items taken from raiding. The follow guidelines will be adapted for 25-man raiding as and when senior officers see fit.

- Any green items that drop when on an Omnian organised raid will be collected and disenchanted, subsequently enchanting materials will be accumulated by the bank and either sold to members for enchants for a small fee. This money is then used to gear up, flask up and generally improve certain people for raiding.
- Mining veins: please send sardonite /gems / eternals to the guildbank
- herbs / satchel from freya: please send lotusses & flasks to the guildbank
Bank Sales for Pre Wotlk items
Currently there is a lot of stuff in the bank from pre Wotlk. Please go request items, patterns and gems. All donations are welcome, but I think you will find a happy surprise if you request!
